Utkarsh Odisha-2025 Awareness Program held at Government Polytechnic Mayurbhanj

With the aim of leading Odisha in economic growth and making it a major investment hub globally, the MSME Department of the Government of Odisha is going to organize the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 from January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar. Its main objective is to position Odisha as an industrial powerhouse of eastern India by attracting various domestic and international investments in various sectors. In this context, an awareness program has been organized with the aim of developing awareness and industrial thinking among students and young entrepreneurs and making them participants of this conclave at the Government Polytechnic Mayurbhanj by Startup Odisha and MSME department of Govt of Odisha where the Prinicpal of the institute, Er. Kambupani Meher presided the meeting. 

In this event, Mr. Shivankit Das from Startup Odisha highlighted the various facilities available at Startup Odisha for students and young entrepreneurs. Mr. Rajeev Kumar from SOA Incubation Center, Bhubaneswar joined as the chief guest and gave ideas on how startup companies can be built by students in the current times and on the various startup opportunities available in Mayurbhanj. Professor (Dr.) M Himbindu from the Maharaja Sriramachandra Bhanjadeo University joined as the keynote speaker and delivered her speech on the topic “Role of educational institutions in shaping the future industry of Odisha”.

Er Saumyaranjan Mishra, Director of Infocreatives co-ordinated in the event along with other officials of the institute. Around 150 students and local young entrepreneurs participated in it and presented their innovative entrepreneural ideas in front of the guests. A quiz competition and an innovation challenge were also held on the occasion. Finally, the event ended with the distribution of prizes to the successful contestants and the vote of thanks by Ms. Sushree Subhashri Das, a faculty member of the institute.
